Legendaariset Kulmalla – jamit!
This event is not typical concert, it is jamit - it means that during the whole evening come to perform a lot of different bands to play and show to audience this show. In the picture below is band which never used to play in this group before. Every participant had some musician idea. They were combine them to play together. So it was new experience not just for us as a watchers but aslo for musician themself. Composers: Miikka Immonen - Guitar/Vocal, Tummi Miettinen - Piano, Olli Sippola - Bass guitar, Oskari Paakki - Drums, Severi Hietala - Saxophone, Timo Hatva - Acoustic guitar.
On Wednesday
21.9.2016 I had a chance to visit jam sessions in Corner’s pub in Kokkola. In
the place was prepare a lot of instruments as electric guitar, piano, drums or
microphones. When I came to pub the atmosphere was brilliant. I felt like in a
home concert. The event visited especially young people who were member of some
band or part of musician studies here in Centria. They were mostly singing in English
language and famous song around the world so it was easy to understand. Music
genre was mostly blues, country, rock, pop. Singers were mostly amateurs but
whole performance was perfect. Performers were taking turns one after another. That’s why the concert was various and not so
usual. If should I summarize whole concert it was in one word perfect. I am
looking for another concert in Finland.
Small sample
of performance:

Hi Adela, Great that you started the Music assignment! Sounds good that you felt at home. However, some bits are still missing from the post.
ReplyDelete"Write an introduction of one of the Finnish composers whose music is played in the concert. If you write about a band, write an introduction of the band. If it is a local band - go and talk to them!
Write a review of the concert/ that you have covered.
What did you like? Why?
Who were playing/singing?
What kind of music?
By what composers?
The the concert should function as an introduction to Finnish music, while listening to it.
Include these aspects also to the post! Keep up the good work!
