Lesson on 14.11.2016 - meeting at 8:00

Hi everyone!

You have made great videos! You can all show them to the students at Donnerska on Monday 14.11.2016!

The class on 14.11.2016 at 8:00 will look like this.

8:00 Meeting in the lobby of Donnerska skolan. Be there on time!
Address: Banerinkatu 3-5. You can come in from Pengerkatu side.

We will meet the rector and participate in 2 classes.

Make sure you know how to find your video. You need to have the link with you or know how to find it. We will use ipads at Donnerska, so it’s easier to see and hear your videos.
You will be in small groups, so it will be comfortable for all of you.

Be prepared to tell about your own country in the small group. Some history, what education is like, what is important in your country, what you like especially about it etc.

I’ll meet you in the lobby at 8:00.

Enjoy the sunny weekend!

Education - group 9

1.      The first donation to a school of Kokkola was made by Karl Herman, in 1894, in order to establish a trust fund which gave grants to students who graduated from the grammar school.
Most institutions are maintained by local authorities or joint municipal boards, such as early childhood education, basic education and general and vocational secondary education. Therefore, the responsibility for educational funding is divided between the State and the local authorities, but they are also able to receive private funding.
For what concerns the higher education, Universities and Universities of applied sciences (AMMATTIKORKEAKOULU) receive public funding, but they are expected to obtain other private funding too. In addition, the external funding raised by the universities does not reduce the amount of state funding they are entitled to.
