Alcohol in shops
Describe
I remember my first visit of supermarket in Kokola. I
was shopping usual stuff as a food, cleaning thing and also alcohol for the
first party. I found section with beers and long drinks but I was searching for
wine. I was quite upset that I cannot find that wine near to section with beer
and that I cannot even find any hard liquor. At the end I bought just beer and
when I came home I tried find some information in the internet.
Interpret
I get know
that in Finland is impossible find this hard liquor alcohol in supermarket. The
sale of wines and else alcoholic drinks is controlled by the state-owned Alko organization.
That´s why consumers can buy alcoholic beverages only in Alko shops. Reason why
is selling alcoholics beverages under control of one organization (is would
shop like to sell these drinks, they had to pay high fee) might be high consumption
of alcohol and propensity to alcoholism.
Evaluate
In my opinion
is this decision depends on country in order to local conditions. I cannot imagine
the same system in my country. Advantage is that it prevent against alcoholism
disadvantage is in my opinion restrictions on freedom in order to
customer decision. But in general, person who lives in new country should adapt
in local habits.

I really like the picture!!
