Music Task

First of all, I need to admit that I’m not big fan of rock music, but I was satisfied about taking part in event. This concert was performed by Tiia Katajamäki and her friends, band prepared over 10 songs of well-known band FOO FIGHTERS. It was tribute for fertileness artist from north America. All songs were arrangement in rock climate, but I was positively surprised, even I must wear earplugs – music was very loud.  Other thing worth to notice is that singer have very good technique of singing.
Expressly I was pleased about guest presence violin artist. Generally, i can recommend other student this event, because I spend there very nice time.

This is full squad of this band:

Tiia Katajamäki - lead singer
 Tommi Miettinen – guitarist
 Miika Arvola – guitarist
 Esa Hakkarainen – bassist
 Matias Källi – pianist
 Juhani Koskinen – drummist
 Krista Kairaneva - violinist
Piritta Savolainen - background singer.

Music assignment

Antti Paalanen is a Finnish experimental performer and composer; master of the diatonic accordion.
The instrument itself was invented in the 1800s and became an essential part of the variety of folk traditions. However, Antti Paalanen doesn't play the traditional, meaning ordinary, music. He created his own style and gave it a new name - breathbox

It was exactly this new approach that caught my attention on the Centria Night Music event in the end of September. I didn't expect anything new from the traditional instrument performance, but that one delightfully surprised me.

Later on, I found out that Antti Paalanen is pretty famous in Finland. In 2015 he graduated as a Doctor of Music from Sibelius Academy, and now he works as a lecturer in Centria's music department, plays in several music bands and records albums.

So, next time, I intentionally went to the Corner's pub to listen to his play. The place was really crowded which isn't common in Kokkola. With the first sounds of the accordion everyone went to the dance floor.

Check this song out!

The point is that it is really difficult to categorize Antti's music: not "folk", not "alternative". Something really special which is worth to hear once than to read twice.
I really loved this unique, mesmerizing sound. Hope, everyone will enjoy it!

Hi

Surprise by listening
Description
when I came to Finland for the first time  I was unknown  anything about the nature and geography of the the country. where ever I go I see flat and rounded stones. indeed, the land is very much different from Nepal comparing its land diversity. Nepal is mountainous country therefore, one hill continuously block the other, but here hard to see the high hills and mountain and everything is flat so far. however, i was curious to ask to anyone about their land and its structure if i meet some people from Finland. It was my desire to ask and discuss about the land structure and its formation with anyone here and also told about my country land structure too. However, I got the answers of some questions from someone during the summer of 2016. Why the mostly stone are rounded in size in Finland and other Scandinavian nations?

Interruption
while I was working I got to meet so many people who are originally from Finland and who are mature enough and know more things about their nation and people. I had my friend but he was older than me enough, once I asked about the land of here and why the stones are rounded in shape? He started with the vikings period about 700 BC.Many thousands years ago the whole Scandinavian nations were ruled by the vikings. they used to rob the land and peoples and they used to came by different ships from different places of Europe. At that time most of the land of Scandinavia was covered by full of water during summer and covered by ice during winter. by the time, and change of weather the ice gradually get melted and the land was push down by heavy ice so, due to the heavy ice over stones and its force the stones shaped rounded in most of the places in Scandinavia. I was very much interested about the fact and its history.

Evaluate
The most interesting fact was that the land of Scandinavia grows some length in every 10 years and that made me more surprise. However, the geography of Finland has  changed surprisingly. Moreover, i was very interested in Viking history and its stories. So, I started to watch viking series and I found it more interesting and got to see more about Europe and including Finland and Sweden where I have been and living currently.

D-I-E movie situation in Finland

Describe
My hobby is going film festival. Basically, it is often the case that question and answer by guest such as director, actor and actress. In that time, the side story and that local social condition are explained. Additionally, there is opportunity of getting autograph, and taking picture depending on the situation. Therefore, you can understand the works deeply and feel interesting than normal watching movie.
I went to various movie festival in Japan. Examples are Tokyo International Film Festival (hereafter TIFF), French film festival, Italy firm festival which are popular, long history, and invite generally over 10 guest each time. Also I went to the movie event, the Tokyo Northern Lights Festival. That was mini theater type, but I have the impression that was full. Finland movie festival is held in Japan, but that scale is small, and usually 5 works are screened.
When I came to Finland in 2014, naturally I had interesting about movie festivals in Finland, then I went to the Helsinki International Film Festival (hereafter HIFF) and Season Film Festival (hereafter SFF). Also I went to Stockholm International Film Festival (SIFF) because Stockholm is close to Finland.

Interpret
In the first place, the number of film festival and movie events in Finland are very smaller than Japan. I recognize Finland has no even French and Italy movie festival. But HIFF sells movie pamphlet as with TIFF and SIFF, and that quality is good as with them.
As for movie works, Nordic, and Baltic has large proportion. But I have impression that many Swedish and Danish movies were screened than Finnish movies, and also Asian movies were popular in the viewers.
Regarding guest, surely HIFF has guest attendance. But I got the impression that number was small when I went. Overly, basically, SIFF have invited 3 big and famous stars. Meanwhile, this includes my subjectivity, but HIFF have invited 1 that level guest. Therefore, it gives the impression that SIFF scale is larger than HIFF.
Additionally, some screen works are doubled between HIFF and SIFF. So it is not strange that have only to go either one. I recognize above things means movie situation in Finland is inadequate vitalization.

Evaluate
But I felt recent Nordic movies quality has been improving. Yatabe, TIFF director, mentioned Nordic interesting movies are crowded. Also recently, the happiest day in the life of Ollimäki got the award Un Certain Regard in Cannes. Finland has the opportunity for catch the wave of Nordic movie trend. Finland needs to consider the further increase and support of movie works and events to accelerate movie and improve the Finnish presence in the Nordic movie category.

Finnish music

During summer of 2016 I was in Åland which is very beautiful Island of Finland. I spent my summer very pleasantly and I can say that it was my best time ever. Actually, I went there for my summer job. In the meantime, they have launched different events. So far, I got to experience many things and observed so many beautiful views and places. As per I know Finn are very fond of music and songs. Before and after the mid-summer there launched many concerts who welcomed many artists from Sweden, Finland and within the Island. after the midsummer they have many events of music. On the mid-July they have Rock off summer festival. during rock off they have live music continuously for one week.

During the rock off they invite many artist and band from different parts of Finland and Sweden. at the mean time I asked one of my friend what kind of music do Finn prefer? then he replied me that Finns and Swedish music are not so good as other western music like music from USA, UK, and so many others English spoken nations but we have been improving the music trend here also. Anyway I love the Finn music which I found very peace and energetic kind.

D-I-E FINNISH PEOPLE

Free Time

Describe: one time me and my friends went to Calle, the place were a little bit empty but over the time was more crowded, people were dancing and at one point I found one of my friends running away from one guy who was completely wasted, then it happened to me and some other friends, those Finnish guys were so drunk and they were just over us. Then another night at the club I meet a Finnish guy who wasn't that drunk so, I could speak with him about this peculiar behavior and why they don't speak in their five senses.

Interpret: he told me something that i didn't know, he said " at the beginning Finland was an extremely poor country  but we work hard to became in this developed country, nobody helped us",so they became distrustful and shy, that is why the are like that, but he also told me why they drink, he said is because the work and think too much, but they can not express their feelings so easy so, they use alcohol as a way of relaxing which give them the possibility to talk with other people and express themselves.

Explain:at the end I could understand a little bit the cause of their behavior, but I couldn't understand why if Finnish people is so smart as he told me, is still drinking, I mean just because your father did it like that it doesn't mean that you have to follow that way.

I think Finnish people is really nice but they need to have more
confidence in themselves.
